Savea dedicates comeback win to Vidiri and Tuigamala.

Hurricanes captain Ardie Savea has dedicated his performance against the Blues on Saturday to the late Joeli Vidiri and Inga Tuigamala.

Savea scored the winning try at the final hooter. The Hurricanes scored three tries in the final 10 minutes to seal a remarkable comeback win.

The 31-year-old says Vidiri and Tuigamala are legends in the game and to hear the news is pretty heart-wrenching for many people.

He says it feels awesome to be out there and honour both of them.

Blues Coach Leon MacDonald also paid tribute to the pair and says Vidiri features in a lot of videos they play when looking back at some of the Blues legends.

Meanwhile, in this week’s Super Rugby Pacific, the Fijian Drua will take on the Rebels at 8.45pm on Friday, the Moana Pasifika will make their debut against the Crusaders at 6.05pm while the Force play the Reds at 11pm Friday.

On Saturday, the Blues will take on the Chiefs at 3.35pm, the Hurricanes will face the Highlanders at 6.05pm while the Brumbies will play the Waratahs at 8.45pm.
