Save the Children Fiji launches Disaster Appeal

Save the Children Fiji today launched their Disaster Appeal to help those affected by Tropical Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu, Kiribati, Tuvalu and the Solomon Islands.

CEO Raijeli Nicole said this is about making sure people in Fiji can help families in other Pacific Island countries.

Nicole said their biggest concern is around health and the impact on the thousands of children affected.

She added that the urgent needs are hygiene kits, medical supplies wiped out by the cyclone, equipment to clean contaminated water and child friendly spaces in evacuation centres.
