Filipe Sauturaga is expected to play a major role in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side this weekend in the Toulouse 7s.
Coach Ben Gollings has brought back the 28-year-old into the fold as they aim to automatically qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
According to Gollings, Sauturaga brings a different dynamic to the team.
He says the 28-year-old has been a fantastic player, strong in defence and a bit of x-factor in attack, so to have him back is really good.
Fiji’s first match in the Toulouse 7s is against the USA at 12.57am Saturday, they play South Africa at 7.03am Saturday and battle France at 12.11am Sunday in their final pool game.
The cup quarter-finals will start at 3.16am Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 11.32pm Sunday and the cup final will be held at 3.56am Monday.
