Former Fijian 7s and 15s rep and current Queensland Reds Women’s prop Jiowana Sauto will be lining up against her former teammates when the Reds take on the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women in round 2 of the Super Rugby W competition this weekend in Lautoka.
Sauto has been named on the bench and will hope to make an appearance at some point in the match in front of her family and friends.
The 26-year-old was part of the Fijian Drua Women's side that scooped the Super W title in 2022 before joining the Melbourne Rebels in 2023 till last year.
She was then signed up by the Reds this season after the Rebels were axed from the Super Rugby W and Super Rugby Pacific competition after last year’s season.
Sauto was also part of the Fijiana 7s squad that took part in the Rio Olympics in 2016.
Meanwhile, the Drua Women will be looking to back up their performance from last week against the defending champions, the Waratahs, and secure a home win this weekend.
They currently lead the standings with 4 points.
The Drua Women will take on the Reds Women at 1.05pm Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
