Only chiefs should be part of the Great Council of Chiefs.
This was suggested by the leader of the Saunokonoko clan in Naimasimasi Village, Serua, during the GCC public consultation at Ro Kuruduadua House in Navua.
He says even though some chiefs were not well educated, they have the knowledge and wisdom to lead.
He also acknowledged other villagers from the province that have suggested that the chiefs have to be well educated in leading our country, but for him, only chiefs that have been traditionally installed or have the chiefly bloodline should be on Bau Island for the GCC meeting.
The GCC meeting will be held on Bau Island next Wednesday and Thursday.
