20-year-old Saula Temo who allegedly murdered Akuila Salavuki on the Fiji Development Bank carpark last year is still at large and the state will be making a formal application for the trial in absentia.
It is alleged that Temo hit Salavuki on his head with a piece of timber which resulted in his death on the 17th of May last year.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Temo was in the Suva Remand Centre and was mistakenly released on bail as there were two remandees with the same name, Saula Temo.
A bench warrant has been issued for Temo and the case has been adjourned to the 26th of this month.
