Saula Temo who was charged with the alleged murder of Akuila Salavuki has been acquitted by Judge Justice Vinsent Perera in the Suva High Court.
Salavuki was allegedly murdered on the Fiji Development Bank car-park.
He was allegedly hit on the head with a piece of timber which resulted in his death on 17th May 2018.
In his judgement, Justice Perera highlighted gaps in the Police investigation particularly pointing out that Temo was misled by the Interviewing Officer.
Justice Perera said the evidence by the first prosecution witness who saw Temo with Salavuki that night was unreliable.
Temo exercised his right to remain silent during the trial.
Temo has been released.
