The Saru Timber Bridge in Lautoka will be temporarily closed for repairs from 10pm this Saturday to 5am Monday.
The Fiji Roads Authority says this is a planned road closure that will allow their contractors to carry out replacement works of the severely deteriorated bridge timber runners and decking.
FRA says during this time, access to the bridge will be prohibited and detour routes are available through Saru Loop Road, Dhanus Loop Road and Natabua Road.
They say that road closure advisory signs will be posted in advance of the closure period and traffic controllers will be available on-site to direct motorists on detour routes.
