The campaign blackout period has begun.
This means there is to be no more political campaigns, campaign advertisements, political rallies, banners, posters, billboards or media reports until 6pm on Wednesday.
Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has issued a warning to candidates and says if you have distributed campaign materials such as posters, banners, stickers on cars, shop windows, stickers hanging on poles then they need to be removed.
He says parties and candidates need to start looking at who has it and who has control of it.
He says the enforcement part of this will be done by the FEO but the monitoring will be done by the general public in Fiji.
Saneem adds people very quickly are able to send pictures of the breaches to FEO on social media and some have even gone to the extent of employing fake accounts to send them these breaches which helps them very quickly because they know the location and they able to go and initiate their necessary action.
