The Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has been appointed to continue serving as the Oceania representative to the Association of World Election Bodies Executive Board for another two years.
The appointment took place at the 4th General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies in India.
The Association of World Elections Bodies is an association formed by Election Management Bodies from around the world and currently comprises of membership of 106 Election Management Bodies from various countries.
It is the largest elections grouping in the world and will be chaired by India for the next two years and the Vice Presidency is being taken over by South Africa.
Fiji has received tremendous support from A‑WEB both in terms of training of staff of the Fijian Elections Office as well as technology and development of its data center.
A‑WEB has assured that it will continue its investments in Fiji’s Fijian Elections Office in the future.
