As Hindus in Fiji anticipate the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya later this evening, the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji is calling on people to be part of the celebrations at the Kshatriya Hall in Suva.
Sabha President Dhirendra Nand says they are encouraging youths to be part of the event this evening to sing Ram kirtans and bhajans and get together to try and learn about Lord Ram and his good qualities and how youths can use these values in their daily lives.
Nand says people can support and encourage the ICCR devotional group from Ayodhya, India while there will also be some local talents performing this evening.
The Ram Lalla Utsav will start at 6pm this evening.
Indian Present Narendra Modi has arrived at the temple for the opening of the temple where the auspicious moment designated for the consecration ceremony will begin at about 9pm.
