We are having the same approach and the same philosophy heading into the tournament from when we started.
This was highlighted by Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Simon Raiwalui ahead of their Rugby World Cup 2023 opener against Wales next Monday.
Raiwalui says they started off the journey with 45 players before being reduced to 33 players for the tournament and they have the same mindset without anything changing for them.
He says it was devastating losing first-choice fly half Caleb Muntz days away from the tournament, but he has trusted his players and knows what they are capable of.
Earlier this morning, the Flying Fijians confirmed the inclusion of Vilimoni Botitu into the squad as a replacement for Muntz with Raiwalui stating Botitu is another great talent to work with and they can’t wait to see him at training.
The Flying Fijians will take on Wales at 7am in Bordeaux.
Meanwhile, the RWC has kicked off this morning with host France securing a comfortable 27-13 win over the All Blacks.
