Nitesh Singh has been charged with two counts of being found in possession of illicit drugs.

A 36-year-old man from Samabula who was allegedly found with two bags of methamphetamine and five bullets of marijuana has been remanded in custody by Suva Magistrate Joseph Daurewa.

Nitesh Singh has been charged with two counts of being found in possession of illicit drugs.

Police Prosecutor Lolau Yalimaiwai objected to bail because Singh has pending matters of a similar nature and had reoffended while on bail.

Magistrate Daurewa has told Singh to file a formal bail application.

Police say the man was arrested following a raid at his home on Sunday.

The case will be called on the 22nd of this month.
