22-year-old Natasha Saiyad couldn’t control her emotions as she was crowned Miss Vodafone Coral Coast 2019 last night.

The fourth year law student of Fiji National University says she was inspired through her journey by her audience and her family.

Saiyad’s advocacy was on social issues such as rape, suicide and teenage pregnancy.

Saiyad says her future plans include graduating with a law degree.

She says she is also a member of the Nadroga District Council of Social Services where she will be volunteering her time doing community work.

Saiyad says it is never an easy task to get up on stage but has encouraged other young people like her to never give up and she is sure they can achieve what they set their hearts on.

She says she wasn’t expecting to win but is very proud of herself especially since this was part of an event in her home town Sigatoka.
