Sai Prema Foundation Fiji hosted villagers of Waiqanake in Lami for a free medical check-up at Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre in Nasese today.
The villagers went through general examinations by the nurses and the resident doctor.
Sai Prema Foundation Coordinator Namrata Tappoo says the villagers are not using anything from their pocket to pay for their travel expenses and check-ups.
Tappoo says every Tuesday they put aside a specific time to host communities and villagers at their centre.
The in-house dietitian also discussed with villagers how to improve their meal plans to have better nutrition for all and free medicines were also dispensed by the pharmacist.
The medical centre is open from Monday to Friday and people can make appointments or visit the centre.
