The Sai Prema Foundation Fiji is planning to assist 1000 more people in TC Yasa affected areas in Vanua Levu next week in collaboration with Laxi Narayan Temple and Hanuman Chalisa Pariwaar.
Director, Sumeet Tappoo says they are working with the UN to distribute the 500 packs of “Buckets Full of Love” to the maritime areas and 500 packs in the North.
Buckets Full of Love contains food items such as rice, flour, split peas, milk powder, breakfast crackers, tea bags and juice and other essential items such as dental kits, blankets, sanitary pads, new clothes, mosquito nets and building kits such as straps, hammer and nails.
Tappoo says they will also distribute stationery and school bags to students in the affected areas if they see there is a need.
The Foundation has already assisted 7,000 people so far.
