The Suva City Council is expected to make its endorsement to the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Parveen Bala on the redevelopment of Albert Park this week.
SCC said it plans to award the contracts to its interested tenders by this month.
The redevelopment work at Albert Park is expected to cost $16 million which will see a new thousand seating capacity grandstand and a new turf.
