The Suva City Council has announced new opening hours for Suva Municipal Market which will be effective from this Wednesday.
The Chairman of the Suva City Council, Isikeli Tikoduadua says the revised hours will be from 7am to 7pm from Mondays to Thursdays and 6am to 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tikoduadua says the revised hours will allow market vendors to promote and sell local produce to people for more hours.
He says the Council expects that the revised hours will have a reticulation effect on Suva’s economy.
Tikoduadua says more CCTV cameras have been installed and all CCTV cameras in public areas will be connected to the Totogo Police Station.
