Sonny Bill Williams has vowed to give Paul Gallen a good hiding, claiming a fight between the pair could have happened three years ago if the former Cronulla and NSW captain hadn’t dodged him.
The former footballers have finally agreed to meet in the ring in a showdown that has been a decade in the making.
They will each earn about $1 million as part of a 50-50 split in a fight.
While speaking for the first time about the bout, Williams says he is adamant he will emerge victorious.
He says he will win because he is a better boxer, but adds that the only way Gallen can beat him is by knocking him out and he doesn’t believe Gallen has the power to do that.
SBW and Gallen have agreed to terms for a heavyweight boxing blockbuster scheduled for the 16th of next month.
