Rozleen Razia Khan who killed her 4 year old daughter sentenced to life imprisonment

35 year old Rozleen Razia Khan who killed her 4 year old daughter last year has been given mandatory life imprisonment.

She was charged with one count of murder.

However, Judge, Justice Vinsent Perera has not set a minimum term to be served before pardon can be considered.

This means she can apply for pardon at any time.

While sentencing Khan, Justice Perera says on 6th May, 2018 she tied herself up with her daughter and jumped into the Rewa River.

Justice Perera says this is a serious breach of trust.
