Royal New Zealand Military Band to feature at RFMF Band Centennial celebrations

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Band is just a few days away from hosting the biggest band performance in the country.

The first combine band rehearsal will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks which will bring together the Republic of Fiji Military Band, the Fiji Police Band and the National Youth Band.

The Bands will perform at the ANZ stadium next Friday.

Committee Chairman Commander Lepani Vaniqi says that the public should expect fine day of great entertainment which will also feature a mass choir of 100 people, fireworks, top local band performances and a night of musical theatric performances.

The 3FIR and the RFMF Hapkido team will also provide entertainment at the event.

Five personnel from the Royal New Zealand Military Band are also set to arrive in Fiji early next week and discussions on their involvement will be confirmed later next week.

Meanwhile, children from Orphanage Homes around the country will be hosted by RFMF Band on the last day of rehearsals next Thursday while the main event will be held next Friday.

Ticket prices ranges from $30 grandstand, $25 for the temporary stand, $15 for embankment and $5 for the children under the age of 8 years for the embankment.
