Fiji women's football coach, Marika Rodu’s contract has been terminated by the Fiji Football Association after failing to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
Rodu was also Fiji FA’s national women’s development manager.
Fiji FA’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says the door is still open for Rodu to join the Fiji FA and for that he will need to follow the policies put in place by the Government.
Rodu has been coaching the national women’s team since 2017.
Rodu has thanked the Fiji FA for giving him the opportunity to coach at the national level.
He says it was a personal choice and it does not mean any disrespect to the Government, the Health Ministry and the frontliners who have continuously worked hard.
