The Fiji Roads Authority says they have enough bitumen to last them 5 to 6 weeks despite there being a delay in the shipment.
Acting CEO, Kamal Prasad says they were supposed to receive the new shipment of bitumen by the end of last month but this has now been delayed to the 13th of this month.
Prasad says they have 140 metric tonnes of bitumen in the country which is sufficient for sealing 20 lane kilometres of road.
He says work is not being affected as it is raining around the country and taking the rainy weather into account, the bitumen should last them 5 to 6 weeks.
