Road slip along Kasavu repairs is a long term issue - FRA

There is risk of a complete road slip at Kasavu on the Kings road.

Fiji Roads Authority's CEO, John Hutchinson has confirmed this saying that repair is a long term issue.

He says the slip is open and operating on single-lane and for light vehicles only.

Hutchinson says the FRA has been actively investigating options for alternative access that include connecting the Bautikina road off Kings road to Mara road in Raralevu.

He says work has already commenced on opening this route.
