Fiji born Ro Iva Naiteqe from Seattle has made the USA Netball team to play in the USA Netball Premier League Launch.
Ro Iva is the daughter of former Fiji 7s and 15s rep, Sailosi Naiteqe Junior and former VitiFM Content Director, Litia Daugunu Naiteqe.
Ro Iva is now officially part of the USA Netball team to play Trinidad and Tobago in Georgia this weekend.
Her mother, Litia is also the assistant manager of this USA team.
USA Netball says it has taken a comprehensive and holistic approach to selecting its team for the USA Netball Premier League Launch.
The organization says it considered a range of factors beyond just skill level, including: independent workout discipline, communication skills on and off the court, follow-up and follow-through, enthusiasm and commitment, hard work and dedication, and team interaction and activities.
It says this approach aims to develop well-rounded athletes who embody the values of USA Netball.
USA Netball says selection to the Premier League Launch team is a significant step towards becoming a Flying Eagle, the elite squad that represents the USA on the international stage.
