Speaker of Parliament Ratu Epeli Nailatikau says that in Fiji the rights of children are already catered for but we have to all work together closely to ensure that these rights are fully realized.
Speaking in Parliament on World Children’s Day, Ratu Epeli says 30 years of child rights have helped transform children’s lives around the world adding this is a time to celebrate and a time to demand action.
He says children are telling us loud and clear it is time for every child to have every right.
Ratu Epeli adds Fijian children have taken to the world stage to raise awareness on climate change and point out that for Fiji the guidelines are aptly and clearly laid out in the Fijian Constitution.
