All Blacks coach Ian Foster has highlighted that a change in Reiko Ioane's position does not mean that the 23-year-old will no longer play in the midfield.
After years under the guidance of former All Blacks coach Steve Hansen playing as a wing, Foster "showed a bit of faith" to Ioane and gave him the shot to play at centre.
Foster says they know he is a good winger and also a quality centre and he will get another opportunity at centre and it is not like they have moved on from letting him play in that position.
Ioane joins Sevu Reece and Jordie Barrett in the reshuffled back three while Beauden Barrett has been handed the reins at No.10 with Richie Mo'unga rested for tomorrow.
The All Blacks face the Wallabies at 8.45pm tomorrow in Brisbane.
