Rev Jeremaia Waqainabete elected as Deputy General Secretary of the Methodist Church

The current Superintendent of the Wesley Division Reverend Jeremaia Waqainabete has been elected as the Deputy General Secretary of the Methodist Church after receiving 453 out of 665 votes in today’s conference.

He contested the seat with two other nominees.

Rev Waqainabete who is currently the divisional superintendent of the Wesley Division has a Masters in Arts from Birmingham, majoring in contextual theology.

He will take office from 1st January, 2018.

Meanwhile, Methodist Church in Fiji Secretary for Communications Reverend James Bhagwan says that numbers for the members of the Methodist Church will be revealed in the Bose Ko Viti later in the week.
