Residents in Qelewaqa, Labasa affected by flood waters

Flood waters have entered some houses in Qelewaqa, Labasa.

A resident, Kiran Lata says they have been experiencing continuous heavy rain from yesterday.

She says flood waters entered their compound at around 6am today and they had to quickly move their car and other belongings to higher ground.

Lata adds Qelewaqa Road is also flooded and they will move to take shelter at their relative’s house.
