Relief items distributed by Fiji Red Cross to 1042 people in Lau that were affected by TC Tino

The Fiji Red Cross Society teams have provided immediate relief items to 1042 people affected by Tropical Cyclone Tino in the Lau Group.

The areas they have assisted include Oneata, Moce, Fulaga, Ogea, Komo, Kabara and Namuka-I-Lau.

Operations Manager, Patiliai Leqa says their teams will be reaching out to Ono- I – Lau today to help people affected by TC Tino.

He says their team will return back to Suva on tomorrow night or Friday morning.

Fiji Red Cross Society teams has taken 750 relief item packs to provide immediate help to the people affected in the Lau Group last week.

The Red Cross teams are distributing shelter items, blanket, clothes, hygiene kits, mosquito nets and tarpaulins to people whose homes have been damaged.
