The rehabilitation of the lives of the girls who are mostly victims of sexual abuse is one of our major concerns.
This was highlighted by the Global Compassion Trustee President Pita Niubalavu as they signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.
While speaking at the signing, Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Dr Joseva Koroivueta acknowledged the great work done by the Global Compassion.
He also highlighted that the event was to celebrate the partnership that they have had, and to cater and look after the welfare of the young girls who are victims of sexual abuse.
Niubalavu says that they are fortunate to be assisted by the Ministry for Women which they have been working with for the last 6 years.
Global Compassion has been running the Pearly Gates Home that currently shelters 6 girls between the ages of 14‑17years.
