Fiji born Sevu Reece scored a try as the Crusaders returned to their winning ways after beating the Chiefs 34-19 in the Super Rugby Pacific.
With a slender 15-12 lead at halftime, the former Super Rugby champions turned on the style in the second half, scoring three tries to outgun the Chiefs on their home ground.
The win consolidates the Crusaders' position as the strongest New Zealand side in Super Rugby Pacific, moving up to second place on the Super Rugby points table.
Other tries for the Crusaders came from Cody Taylor, Leicester Fainga'anuku, Will Jordan and Cullen Grace.
Alex Nankivell scored a double for the Chiefs while Cortez Ratima scored once.
In other results, the Blues beat the Highlanders 32-25 and the Reds defeated the Waratahs 32-20.
