Crusaders flyer Sevu Reece who earned a call-up for the All Blacks last year can be part of Rugby Union’s biggest history if he continues his top performance in the Super Rugby Aotearoa and gets a call again to join the All Blacks.
If Reece can continue his top form, he could be part of the All Blacks to face the Kangaroos in a historical cross-code clash.
And with stellar performances in the opening two rounds of the Super Rugby Aotearoa, Blues rookie Hoskins Sotutu can also earn his name in the history books if he can push hard to earn a selection in the All Blacks.
Australia's Courier-Mail has reported that the three-time World Cup champion All Blacks and Mel Meninga's Aussie team would meet following "top-secret negotiations" between New Zealand Rugby and the National Rugby League to stage a hybrid, 14-a-side international "in one of the most significant moments in the 150-year history of trans-tasman sport."
The concept has been kept secret for months but the historical clash could happen before Christmas.
