Three players with links to Fiji have made the team of the week in the 8th round of Super Rugby Aotearoa.

They are Sevu Reece and George Bower from the Crusaders and Pita Gus Sowakula from the Chiefs. Sowakula finished on top of a highly competitive field this week, due to his acceleration from the base of the scrum for the Chief.

Meanwhile, Reece was in the right place to grab the game’s decisive try in controversial circumstances while Bower made an eye-catching burst up through the middle, and offers terrific backup for Joe Moody.

The Hurricanes will take on the Chiefs at 7.05 pm Saturday and the Crusaders will face the Highlanders at 3.35 pm Sunday.
