Before he was flying around the Pacific plying his trade with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, he was playing in the Under 9 to Under 14 team while attending Naselesele Primary and Wairiki Primary School in Taveuni.
FIJI Water Flying Fijians winger Selestino Ravutaumada was over the moon while reuniting with his kin in Taveuni as the team prepares for July tests and Rugby World Cup.
The 23-year-old has wonderful memories of Taveuni which he will always cherish.
He says joining the Flying Fijians and going to Taveuni is such a precious moment as he was away for quite a long time and seeing the kids makes him feel on top of the world as they are always excited to see them.
Ravutaumada further says it has been an interesting stay with everyone at the Welagi Village Hall.
He says he is looking forward to being with the boys on the field as they didn’t get an opportunity to know each other before but they are there for a week to mingle around and come out as one to tackle any team against them.
The 23-year-old is looking forward to making a debut for the Flying Fijians and if given that opportunity he will make the most of it and give his best shot.
The Flying Fijians will play Tonga on July 22nd at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
