Former Radio announcer Pio Ratuwaqa who is charged with a count of manslaughter has had his bail extended by High Court Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe this morning.
Ratuwaqa had earlier pleaded not guilty to a count of manslaughter in the Suva High Court.
Ratuwaqa is alleged to have been involved in a road accident that occurred along Nasese in Suva at 1am on 30th March where Ratuwaqa allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road at Gardiner Place.
A team from the Totogo Police Station managed to rescue him and the passenger from the vehicle which was partially submerged in water.
The 26-year-old woman who was the passenger was rushed to the CWM Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ratuwaqa's case will be called on the 24th of February next year.
