Ratu Navula Secondary School has opened a new chapter in the Coca Cola Zero Deans as they become the first western based side to reach the final in the U-18 grade after beating RKS 17-0 in the semifinal this afternoon.
The Nadi based school scored three tries in the first half to hold on the 17-0 lead till the final whistle.
Since the inception of the Deans trophy in 1939 it has been dominated by the Eastern and Southern based school but this afternoon, Ratu Navula is the first ever western team to be in the final.
Also a new winner will be crown in the Deans final after defending champion Lelean lost to QVS 15-3 in the second semifinal.
Lelean led 3-0 at halftime but could not keep up with the pace of the Victorian boys as they bow out 15-3.
