Former Marist 1977 Under 19 Captain, Ratu Meli Saubulinayau next to the Deans U18 Trophy
Former Marist Brothers High School Under 19 captain Ratu Meli Saubulinayau says they were emotional at the Marist celebrations yesterday as they were reminiscing their win in the 1977 Deans final.
Ratu Meli says the game of rugby has changed dramatically over the years.
The former captain says back in the days, only few people were in the grandstand to cheer for them.
He adds that there were no celebrations back in 1977, but they are fortunate and grateful to be part of the celebrations yesterday.
