Rashmi Aslam has been appointed as the FICAC Commissioner

Rashmi Aslam had been appointed as the Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Aslam is the first to serve as Commissioner since the establishment of the organisation in 2007.

The appointment was made by the President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere in accordance to Chapter 5 Part B Section 115 (2) & (12) of the 2013 Constitution.

He has worked his way from being a Senior Prosecutor to Manager Legal and Acting Deputy Commissioner before his appointment as Deputy Commissioner on the 1st of May 2020.

Aslam has a Master of Laws in Advanced Criminal Law studies and Criminal Justice.
