The Suva Rugby Union received a major boost for their 2021 rugby competition after Ram Sami & Sons Limited re-confirmed their sponsorship of $10,000.

Suva Rugby General Secretary Tevita Tuiloa says through the support, it will enable them to prepare a good team that will be defending their Skipper Cup title for the fourth consecutive term this year.

Tuiloma says the sponsorship will be used for the welfare of the players including the Under 19, the Women's and the Men's teams.

Ram Sami Business Development Manager Abdul Shameer says they are happy to sponsor a club who is organising an initiative that could assist families who have been severely affected by Tropical Cyclones Yasa and Ana.

Ram Sami has also given a $2,000 sponsorship to the TC Yasa/Ana Relief 7s tournament that will be held on the 5th and 6th of next month at Nasau Park in Levuka.
