Niusawa Methodist High School's U16 girls rugby team will need to prepare thoroughly this week as they face Adi Cakobau School in the semi-final of the Weet-Bix Raluve Competition this Saturday.

Head Coach Setareki Hawea says qualifying for the national quarter-final was a historic achievement for them, and reaching the semi-final is another significant milestone.

Hawea says the girls have utilised old tyres and other available resources at their school to enhance their fitness levels over the past few weeks of preparation.

Lelean will take on defending champion Sigatoka Methodist in the second semi-final.

In the U18 matches, Bucalevu Secondary School will play Natabua High School, while defending champion Dawasamu Secondary will battle ACS.

All the games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium this Saturday.
