Vatumami resident Salesh Kumar told Fijivillage in the last hour that all the shops in Rakiraki Town are flooded.
Four people were rescued this afternoon after they tried to cross a flooded stretch in hybrid vehicle in Rakiraki.
Divisional Planning Officer West Sitiveni Tavaga says the four men were drunk.
Tavaga says that villagers witnessed the incident and managed to rescue the four people.
