Rakiraki and Ba town still closed

Rakiraki Town is still closed and only two supermarkets in the town area are open this hour.

Officers from the Rakiraki Fire Station are continuing to clean the mud left in the wake of flooding at the weekend.

Rakiraki Police confirm that all access roads in Rakiraki are now open.

Flood waters in the town area receded earlier today.

Ba Town is also closed.

The Ba Town Council says fire officers are continuing to clean the town area.
