Despite winning gold in the Senior Boys 1,500 metres yesterday, Xavier College’s long distance athlete John Raju is not happy with the time he clocked.
Raju says yesterday was really hard because the weather was not good and he had hoped for a better performance.
The 18-year-old who will run in the 3,000 metres and 4x400 metres relay today says he will focus on improving his time.
He says the competition is much harder compared to previous years.
Raju won gold in the junior boys 1,500 metres event in the 2019 Coca Cola Games.
The Coca-Cola Ba Zone continues at Churchill Park today.
