Raiyasi and Leawere to start while Laumape rested

Salesi Rayasi and Isaia Walker-Leawere will start for the Hurricanes while All Black Ngani Laumape has been sidelined for their opening match against the Waratahs in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition tomorrow.

Leawere will team up with James Blackwell in the locks and Rayasi will start on the wing.

Laumape announced on Tuesday that he will leave for French club Stade Francais after the competition has been sidelined and will be replaced by Peter Umaga-Jensen.

Meanwhile, Mark Nawaqanitawase has been named to start for the Waratahs.

The Waratahs will face the Hurricanes at 9.45pm tomorrow.

In other matches, the Highlanders will play the Reds at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Crusaders will face the Brumbies at 7.05pm Saturday, the Rebels take on the Blues at 9.45pm Saturday and the Western Force will host the Chiefs at 11.55pm Saturday.
