Good news for people living in Raiwai and the surrounding areas as the Raiwai Youth and Community Hall will soon undergo a major renovation.
While handing over the lease documents to the trustees of the Raiwai Youth & Community Council, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said the hall is a focal point for the community.
Bainimarama said they are assisting in the renovation work as the hall is used by the Raiwai youth for recreational activities.
The Prime Minister said the Raiwai Youth and Community Hall has produced some sporting icons over the years which the youth of today will be targeting to also achieve.
Raiwai Youth Council Assistant President Tomasi Kolinitoga said they are grateful to the Prime Minister for keeping his promise which was to upgrade the hall.
Kolinitoga added that the upgrading of the 42-year-old hall will begin in three months-time.
