Rain has eased in Lautoka.
However the town council continues to monitor the weather situation as a heavy rain warning is still in place for the Western Division.
Special Administrator, Praveen Bala said due to old drainage system and culverts the heavy rain led to water overflowing on the roads in a few city areas which has now receded.
Bala said there are no reports of any houses being flooded so far but their team is on standby in case situation worsens.
