A song which tells the story of a brave woman who continued to soldier on in life after losing the love of her life was named the Best English Song at the Fiji Performing Rights Association awards at Grand Pacific Hotel last night.
The Song 'I Wish' was composed and sang by Natalie Raikadroka.
Raikadroka says the song was about a pilot who passed away and a grieving wife who could hardly cope with the loss of the love of her life.
She says that the wife had approached several artists while looking to get the song composed.
Raikadroka has dedicated the win to all women and mothers that will be celebrating Mother’s Day today.
Her message this Mother’s Day is never give up especially when faced with hard times in life.
