SODELPA MP Salote Radrodro claims that the FijiFirst government is using the youths of this country while the Minister for Youth and Sports Parveen Bala says that they do not use people for their benefit.
While questioning the Minister on the Ministry's Youth Climate Change Program, Radrodro claims that the government is using youths when taking them to climate change events overseas.
Bala says it is sad that a Member of Parliament is claiming these things as youths are listening to what the opposition feels about the people who will be the future of this country.
He says the government does not use people, unlike the opposition.
The Minister assured members of Parliament that there are energetic youths who are in the youth council who will assist them with the youths of this country.
Bala says the youth for climate change action is proposed to support the 30 Million Trees In 15 Years initiative.
He says this initiative is meant to foster an approach between the ministry and the stakeholders such as the Ministry for Forestry in achieving priority areas through shared resources.
