Semi Radradra will join the Fiji men’s 7s team in Japan next week.
Radradra who has been named in the 12-member team for the Tokyo Olympics is the only player that is not with the side at the moment.
Coach Gareth Baber says Radradra has been training in Europe and he is confident the former Flying Fijians captain will pick up the momentum once they meet and begin preparations in Japan.
He says he knows Radradra as an individual and as an athlete and he keeps himself in a supreme condition which is why he always wins the battle.
Baber says Radradra is blessed to have the skill level of a 7s player even though he predominantly plays 15s rugby.
Jerry Tuwai will captain the side which also includes Kalione Nasoko, Josua Vakurunabili, Meli Derenalagi, Iosefo Masi, Asaeli Tuivuaka, Vilimoni Botitu, Waisea Nacuqu, Napolioni Bolaca, Jiuta Wainiqolo and Aminiasi Tuimaba.
The Olympic Games Rugby 7s competition will be held from the 26th to the 31st of this month.
Fiji is pooled with Great Britain, Canada and Japan.
The top two teams in each pool, plus the two third-placed teams with the highest point totals will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The fixtures will be released next week.
